Terms & Conditions
Last updated: [INSERT DATE]. Please read carefully.
1. Who we are
PixelWorldCup ("PixelWorldCup", "we", "us") is operated by [YOUR LEGAL NAME / COMPANY], based in Switzerland ([YOUR ADDRESS], contact: [YOUR EMAIL]). These Terms govern your use of the PixelWorldCup website and service (the "Service"). By using the Service or purchasing a pixel, you accept these Terms.
2. What you are buying
A "pixel" is a purely digital, decorative item: a small colored square displayed on a country grid, optionally showing a name and short message you provide. A pixel is a novelty/keepsake. It is not a financial instrument, security, token, share, investment, or store of value. It carries no ownership rights, no dividend, no guaranteed resale value, and no claim against PixelWorldCup or any third party. PixelWorldCup does not operate a secondary market.
3. Not affiliated with FIFA or any football body
PixelWorldCup is an independent fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by FIFA, any national football association, any team, or any tournament organizer. National names and colors are used for identification and fan expression only. All third-party trademarks belong to their owners.
4. Payments
Prices are shown in US dollars (USD) and processed by Stripe. By paying, you also agree to Stripe's terms. Your bank or card network may apply currency conversion fees that are outside our control. We are not responsible for declined transactions.
5. Refunds
A pixel is a digital good delivered immediately upon successful payment. To the extent permitted by law, all sales are final and non-refundableonce the pixel is displayed. EU/EEA consumers acknowledge that, by requesting immediate display of the digital content, they expressly consent to performance beginning at once and thereby waive any statutory right of withdrawal under the EU Consumer Rights Directive. Where a refund is required by mandatory law, we will comply. If a payment fails or is duplicated in error, contact [YOUR EMAIL].
6. Your content
You are solely responsible for the name, message, and color you submit. You grant PixelWorldCup a worldwide, royalty-free license to display that content within the Service and in related promotional material. You must not submit content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, obscene, defamatory, infringing, deceptive, or that impersonates another person. We may remove or refuse any content at our discretion and without refund where content breaches these Terms.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to access it through automated means, interfering with its operation, circumventing payment, or reselling pixels commercially without our written consent.
8. Availability and changes
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service, including after the 2026 World Cup ends. Displayed pixels may be archived or taken offline over time.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Swiss law, PixelWorldCup's total liability arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law (such as for gross negligence or intent).
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the substantive laws of Switzerland, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). The exclusive place of jurisdiction is [YOUR CANTON/CITY], Switzerland, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection forum rules that apply to you.
